German Shepherd Obedience

German shepherd obedience training should start when they puppies are young with a picture available for examples. Choosing a breeder it is very important to wary of breeders whoe mphasize "oversize", "huge", "big-boned" breeding stock or puppies. You need a responsible breeder who has the right and healthy dog. These dogs are not built to have a skeletal and muscular structure of an oversize breed. An inch or so out of standard may be acceptable providing the general line is not consistently out of standard. A responsible breeder will offset an oversize dog by breeding with a line that is a bit smaller in order to maintain the standards as closely as possible. Novice owners that are not knowledgeable on the breed should turn to professionals for basic training. To perform a specific task, a puppy will need special training. Some owners of this breed find out they are unprepared for the care required and cannot provide responsible ownership for a pet. It’s one of the main reasons for surrendering a pet to the rescue. If the owners cannot spend much time with a puppy, it grows up without necessary socialization and training. Such puppies tend to develop behavior problems and are often difficult to live with. German shepherd obedience training should start when they puppies are young with a picture available for examples.
